Knowledgeable guidance and physical and emotional support

Labor & Birth

Birth is powerful and demanding. I offer knowledge and guidance as you prepare, steady support and encouragement as you labor and give birth, and compassionate continuity of care as you and your baby settle into life earthside together.

In our prenatal visits, I will learn more about you and your preferences and hopes, as well as your strengths and begin to understand how I might support your family best.

How we’ll work together

  • One 60-minute virtual prenatal session to discuss your birth preferences, answer questions, and provide education and resources.

  • One 90-minute in-person prenatal session to prepare for labor, practice comfort measures, and ensure you feel confident and supported.

  • Phone and text support throughout your pregnancy to offer guidance, reassurance, and resources as needed.

  • On-call availability from 38 to 42 weeks of pregnancy.

  • Continuous in-person labor and birth support, including up to 2 hours of care after birth to support bonding, feeding, and your initial recovery.

  • One 2-hour postpartum visit to check in on your healing, answer questions, provide feeding support, and nurture you as you adjust to new parenthood.

Investment: $1250

What past participants say…

  • "Sheyda and Caitlin created a beautiful space to allow for gentle, knowledgeable guidance (from them) and connection with other new moms during this vulnerable period. I was so grateful to have these weekly meetings that offered me a community and sounding-board throughout this amazing but oh-so-tough transition. I hope every new mom can find such a community."

  • "I’m grateful that I participated in the group. It definitely helped lessen negative spirals in the early weeks and made me feel less isolated."

  • "While having a child is magical, it is also indescribably challenging for the birth parent and all the pre birth preparation in the world still won’t fully prepare you for the experience of giving birth and then navigating the first few months. Connecting with other new birth parents via this support group was hands down the most helpful thing I did for myself. It provided a sense of normality amid all the chaotic emotions and made me feel less alone and crazy. Having such a safe space (provided by the experience of Sheyda and Caitlin) to share my story and thoughts, and listen to others going through similar experiences was like a lifeline. Thank you!"
